1.Welding torch mechanism:

• TIG welding torch: Typically a water-cooled, high-current welding torch.
• Precision adjustment mechanism: Allows for fine-tuning of the welding torch along the X/Y/Z axes and at the angle, ensuring precise alignment.

 

 

2.Clamping Mechanism

• Upper Clamping Device: Typically a liftable, key-type clamping plate that presses the workpiece against the welding backing plate along the length of the weld, preventing weld deformation.
• Welding Backing Plate (Backing): Located below the workpiece, it usually has grooves for introducing back shielding gas (for welds requiring back-side shaping), or a copper backing plate for heat dissipation.
• Back Shielding Gas System: Provides inert gas to the back of the weld through the grooves in the backing plate to prevent oxidation.

 

 

3.Motion Control System:

• Traveling Mechanism: Drives the welding torch to move at a constant speed along a linear guide rail (the welding torch moves, the workpiece remains stationary).
• Control System: PLC + touch screen is the standard configuration. Advanced models integrate a welding process controller, which can program multiple sets of welding parameters (current, speed, gas flow, etc.) to achieve automated welding cycles.

 

4.Handling Device:

Trolley Its key design feature is the flexible ball bearing mechanism on the trolley's worktable, which allows workpieces placed on it to easily rotate in any direction. This feature greatly optimizes the loading and unloading process, enabling operators to precisely adjust and position workpieces with minimal effort, eliminating the need for repeated handling or heavy-duty transport, thereby effectively improving the overall efficiency and ease of operation of welding operations.

 

 

Automatic Straight Seam Welding Machine With Trolley:

The workpieces to be welded (such as two butt-jointed semi-cylinders) are placed into the special machine. The upper clamping device presses down, pressing the butt joint firmly onto the backing plate and ensuring alignment. The welding torch is positioned at the starting point. After startup, the welding torch (or workpiece) moves at a preset speed at a uniform speed. Simultaneously, the welding power supply outputs current according to the preset program, the wire feeding system feeds wire synchronously, and the back shielding gas is activated, completing the welding of the entire straight seam in one operation.
