This equipment is an automated circumferential tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding machine specifically designed for round and cylindrical cookware (such as stainless steel pots, aluminum pots, and composite-bottomed pots).

It is mainly used for circumferential welding of the pot body and bottom (single-layer or composite bottom), and can also be used for welding circular trajectories such as pot rim curling and pot ear reinforcing plates. The equipment adopts a workpiece rotation and welding torch fixing mode, combined with TIG hot and cold wire welding technology, ensuring aesthetically pleasing welds, no porosity, and single-sided welding with double-sided forming. It is suitable for mass production in industries such as kitchen utensils, appliance liners, and pressure vessels.

1.The function of this cylinder is to allow sufficient space for loading and unloading before welding, and to precisely position the cylinder at the weld seam after loading is completed, thus achieving precise welding.

 

2.The welding head is equipped with a left-right swing mechanism and a right-down movement mechanism to meet the welding needs of cookware of different sizes. The left-right swing mechanism drives the welding torch to swing regularly laterally along the weld width, effectively increasing the coverage of the heat-affected zone and enabling the one-time formation of wider welds, significantly improving welding efficiency and deposition quality. The right-down movement mechanism is mainly responsible for adjusting the vertical position of the welding torch. It can precisely align the torch according to changes in the diameter or height of the workpiece, ensuring that the tungsten electrode always maintains the optimal arc length and angle with the cookware weld, thus adapting to welding workpieces of different sizes.

 

3.During the welding process, its function is to drive the tailstock body to move rapidly and smoothly axially according to the length of the cookware or its clamping position through the extension and retraction of the cylinder, thereby achieving flexible support and positioning for cookware of different specifications. The cylinder-driven method makes the tailstock move quickly and is easy to control. It is usually used in conjunction with a throttle valve to achieve a buffer stop at the end of the stroke, and to achieve interlocking linkage with the clamping and welding actions of the machine tool through electrical signals, ensuring the stability and clamping efficiency of the cookware during rotary welding.

 

4.Welding torches typically employ a water-cooled structure to withstand the heat generated during continuous welding, ensuring stability over extended periods. A high-precision tungsten electrode clamping mechanism is incorporated to guarantee constant arc alignment and arc length as the arc rotates over the circumferential weld seam of the cookware. For commonly used cookware materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and aluminum alloys, the welding torch design must also consider gas protection. Optimized nozzle structure and airflow channels create a stable laminar flow protective shield, effectively preventing weld oxidation.

 

5.The chuck at the spindle box acts as a "centering power gripper," its core function being to precisely clamp cookware of different diameters through radial synchronous movement, ensuring that the workpiece's rotation center coincides with the spindle axis. This is fundamental to guaranteeing the precision of the weld formation. The chuck at the tailstock primarily serves as a "follow-up support," with its shims providing axial preload to prevent workpiece deformation and slippage under high welding temperatures, while also protecting the polished surfaces of the cookware's inner wall or bottom from clamping marks or scratches.
