Aluminum TIG Gas Storage Tanks Ring Seam Welding Machine

This equipment is a highly efficient automatic welding system integrating mechanical and electronic control with welding technology. Specifically developed for circumferential welds on aluminum alloy gas tanks (cylinders), it employs advanced  TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding technology. Through the deep linkage between a precision rotating mechanism and a digital welding power source, it solves the problems of oxidation, porosity, and weld collapse that are prone to occur in aluminum alloy welding, ensuring that every weld has aerospace-grade tightness and aesthetics.

Aluminum alloy circumferential weld:

1. Reinforced Frame Base
Made of large-size square steel, welded and annealed to eliminate internal stress and ensure no deformation during long-term operation.

2. Precision Servo Rotary Spindle
Equipped with a high-precision AC servo motor and reducer drive, ensuring stable speed and minimizing low-speed crawling.

Equipped with a dedicated conductive slip ring mechanism to effectively protect the motor from high-frequency interference and ensure stable welding current transmission.

3. Pneumatic Three-Jaw/Customized Mold Chuck And The Suppoting Frame
Customized tooling based on the diameter of the aluminum gas tank, using flexible clamping technology to ensure firm gripping while preventing scratches or deformation of the aluminum surface.The cylinder enables rapid positioning and loading/unloading of the material support frame. Its stroke can be adjusted according to the workpiece size, and it is suitable for various specifications and models of air cylinder supports, facilitating operation.

4. Pneumatic Tailstock Clamping
The tailstock stroke is adjustable to accommodate tanks of different lengths.

Using cylinder-driven clamping with linear guide sliders, it ensures high repeatability and positioning accuracy during clamping operations.

5. Multi-dimensional Welding Torch Adjustment Mechanism

Three-dimensional manual/electric adjustment slide: Enables precise positioning of the welding torch along the X, Y, and Z axes and at tilt angles.

Pneumatic lifting slide: Enables rapid entry and exit of the welding torch, improving loading and unloading efficiency.

Automatic Welding Machine for Air Tanks:

• Fully digital control system: PLC central control, supporting one-button start. Welding current, speed, overlap, and arc ignition/termination time can all be digitally set on the touchscreen.
• Multi-segment welding presets: Allows setting different welding parameter curves for different parts of the tank (e.g., the connection between the end cap and the cylinder).
• Automatic arc termination function: Targeting the high thermal conductivity of aluminum, the system features automatic current attenuation compensation, effectively preventing crater cracks at the arc termination point.
• Circulating water cooling system: The high-power water-cooled welding torch, combined with an industrial chiller, supports 24-hour continuous high-intensity operation, protecting the torch tip from burnout.

1.Normally we will use fumigation plywood case for packaging; for some big machine, we can use steel pallet and plastic filme cover.All machines are paint with anti rust paint or oil before leaving factory.
