I.Main features
- Welding torch is fixed while workpiece rotating. Welding position is horizontal.
- Workpiece is positioned by central spindle, jigged pneumatically, and rotates synchronously, making sure the weld position does not deviate.
- Automatic loading and unloading is adopted. Welding process is accomplished automatically, so the labor intensity of workers is reduced.
- The welding mode and welding specification can be preset, memorized, and called.
II.Design task
The roller ring line welding machine should be able to complete the multi-layer welding of U-shape line and V-shape line for various rollers automatically. The work-piece does not need spot welding for position, it can automatically make pre-heat and stable, continuous welding, the welding line looks good, and size on average, welding section and penetration can reach specification.

1.Pneumatic loading and unloading structure for work-piece:
To-and-fro motion of pneumatic cylinder changes the position between loadunloading work-piece and welding position. V-shape supporting block travels up and down by pneumatic cylinder, straight-line bearing and guide post. The pneumatic cylinder pushes the work-piece block to deliver work-piece in welding area, and V-shape block rises through running pneumatic cylinder to fix work-piece automatically and goes down when welding. V-shape block rises through running pneumatic cylinder to release work-piece as unloading.

2.Welding torch and drying torch:
On the left is the welding torch, and on the right is the drying torch. The welding torch is responsible for precisely feeding the wire and generating the arc, melting the wire and filling it into the track roller weld, forming a solid weld deposit. The drying torch, however, operates independently of the welding process and is used to continuously dry the wire before welding, effectively removing moisture adsorbed on its surface. This significantly reduces weld porosity and ensures consistent and reliable weld quality.

3.Servo-driven oscillation mechanism:
This automatic roller welding machine uses the MIG welding process, and its welding gun is equipped with a sophisticated servo-driven oscillation mechanism. This mechanism, programmed by the control system, allows for precise and stable oscillation of the welding gun in four directions: up, down, left, and right. This oscillation function effectively widens the weld seam, evens out heat distribution, and ensures full penetration of the welding wire into the fusion zone between the roller rim and the wheel body, significantly improving the stability and consistency of the weld quality.
