An automatic circumferential seam welding solution for welding flanges to hydraulic cylinder tubes, built for consistent weld quality and efficient production.

Our single torch circumferential welding machine is designed for hydraulic cylinder manufacturers who need clean, uniform and repeatable welds on cylinder flanges. The workpiece rotates on a positioner while a fixed welding torch completes the full circumferential seam in one continuous pass, replacing unstable manual welding with a controlled, repeatable process.

1. The welding torch is fixed, the workpiece rotates, and the welding position is horizontal.

2. A welding bed is used; the welding torch and pneumatic tailstock are longitudinally adjustable and can be locked after adjustment.

3. The workpiece is clamped by a chuck and held in place by a pneumatic center, rotating synchronously, with a lower loading and unloading bracket.

4. It uses a Japanese OMRON PLC; the workpiece rotation is achieved using an AC servo motor, which is infinitely adjustable, improving reliability.

5. Welding methods and specifications can be preset, stored, and recalled. Parameters and status transitions can be easily changed through a touch-screen human-machine interface.

6. Welding current and voltage are controlled by D/A and can be preset and called in layers, enabling multi-layer continuous welding without interruption of the electric arc.

Constant rotation speed and a fixed torch position keep weld bead width and penetration uniform around the whole circumference, which reduces weld defects and rework.

Once the workpiece is clamped, the machine welds the full seam automatically. One operator can run the process with far less dependence on welder skill.

Welding parameters can be saved and recalled for different cylinder sizes, so changeovers are quick and operators need little training.

Clamping tooling can be customized to your cylinder tube diameters and flange types, so one machine can cover a range of products.

• Lower cost than a multi-torch line

A single torch machine is a cost-effective choice for small to medium batch production, or for workshops that want to automate flange welding without a large investment.

 

 

First, the workpiece is manually loaded, then clamped and pneumatically pressed. Next, the welding torch is pneumatically fed to the welding position, shielding gas is supplied, the arc is ignited, welding is performed, and filler wire is added. After reaching the predetermined welding angle, the welding torch is raised and oscillated to weld multiple layers until the welding is completed. Then, the arc is extinguished, the shielding gas is stopped, the welding torch is quickly retracted, the workpiece is released, and finally, the workpiece is manually unloaded.

 

 

 

1.Normally we will use fumigation plywood case for packaging; for some big machine, we can use steel pallet and plastic filme cover.All machines are paint with anti rust paint or oil before leaving factory.
