I.Overview
The TIG double-ring seam welding machine for steel pipe flanges is an automated system specifically designed for butt-welding joints between pipes and flanges. It utilizes a four-torch, double-ring synchronous welding technique: two TIG torches perform external welding on both ring seams at the same time, while the other two TIG torches-typically extended or specially angled-are inserted into the pipe interior to weld the inner fillet or butt seams.
This configuration allows the four torches to work in alternating sequence, enabling the high-quality and efficient welding of both sides of the pipe-flange joint in a single pass. The machine is especially well-suited for the production of medium- to thick-walled pipe components that demand superior weld integrity, a clean appearance, and high productivity.

III.Machine structure
1.Welding Main Unit (Bed and Rotary Mechanism)
- Rugged, welded steel bed designed for heavy-duty applications, with residual stresses removed through thermal treatment.
- The rotary spindle is powered by a servo motor coupled with a high-precision gearbox, providing vibration-free rotation and eliminating any low-speed crawling.



2.External Welding System
Two TIG welding torches are installed on a dual-axis adjustable carriage (capable of horizontal and vertical movement). An oscillation mechanism is incorporated to accommodate wide weld seams. A pneumatic cylinder governs the axial travel of the complete welding head assembly.


3. Internal Welding System
This system employs a long-reach TIG welding torch capable of reaching depths between 500 mm and 1000 mm, with customization options available. The torch is mounted on the feeding mechanism of the internal welding arm, enabling axial motion and precise radial adjustments. The internal welding zone is generally fitted with a gas protection cover to avoid oxidation on the reverse side.


4.Welding Power Supply and Control System
Four independent welding power supplies and water-cooling units are provided for the four welding torches.
A PLC combined with an industrial touch screen enables independent adjustment of current, pulse parameters, welding duration, and pre-flow/post-flow gas timing for both internal and external welding.
The system supports manual, fully automatic, and semi-automatic operating modes.



IV.Main features
- Simultaneous internal and external welding doubles productivity: With four welding torches operating at the same time, efficiency is greatly enhanced compared to single-torch or manual welding. This design is especially well-suited for high-volume production.
- Superior weld quality: The TIG process generates no spatter, producing smooth, attractive welds with a silver-white or golden-yellow finish.
- Excellent internal weld shielding: Complete root fusion is achieved without undercut, satisfying Class I requirements for radiographic or ultrasonic testing.
- Strong versatility:By quickly adjusting the torch angle and the setup mechanism, the system can weld equal-diameter and different-diameter flanges, as well as various joint types including straight pipe butt welding and flange butt welding.
- Intelligent operation:The touchscreen interface stores multiple sets of process parameters (pipe diameter, wall thickness, material), which can be recalled instantly with a single press.
V.Package
1.Normally we will use fumigation plywood case for packaging; for some big machine, we can use steel pallet and plastic filme cover.All machines are paint with anti rust paint or oil before leaving factory.
2.Package can be as customers' requirement.
